There are more than 400 temples in Pushkar but the most popular and momentous is Brahma Temple. This is one of the very few temples devoted to Lord Brahma in India and world. It is also popular as Jagatpita Brahma Temple. The architecture of the temple is of around 14th century and later rebuilt as during the time of Aurangzeb many temples were demolished on it its order. The temple opens daily from 5:00 am to 1:30 in morning and 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm in summers. During winters it opens from 6:00 to 1:30 in morning and 3:00 to 8:30 in evening in winters.
It is located near Brahma Temple and most sacred place for the Hindu devotees. They perform all the rituals of a person from his birth to death. It is believed that lake has medicinal properties and when a person takes a dip in that water he gets free from his sins. Lake has around 52 ghats and 400 temples around it dedicated to Lord Brahma, Savitri Mata and other gods. There is no extra fees to visit the lake.
