Ahmedabad is the largest and 606 year old walled city in the state Gujarat. The city has recently been declared as the UNESCO World heritage site and is the India’s first World Heritage city. Ahmedabad is the place where Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Nation started India’s freedom struggle. The Sabarmati river runs through its centre and Gandhi Ashram, Mahatma Gandhi’s home displays the living quarter of spiritual leader.
