Amer Fort, Jaipur

Amber Fort is the most visited tourist place in the Jaipur. It was built in the 16th century by general of Akbar, Sawai Maan Singh. Later it was enhanced by Raja Jai Singh. It is made up of red sandstone and white sandstone and it is a wonderful architecture which is the combination of Hindu and Muslim style of embellishment. Inside the forts there are beautiful garden and has a unique structure and has many buildings like Sukh-Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Moti Mahal and Sheela Devi Temple etc. It is also registered in UNESCO World Heritage site. We can enter Amber fort by Suraj Pole and it leads to the Jaleb Chowk which is the main courtyard. The Amber Fort is divided into following courtyard:

Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas: Diwan-e-khas is a private audience Hall has a stunning work in glass on the walls. It was used for special guest meeting like people who visited from other states, his friends and ministers.

Diwan-e-Aam is also an another Hall of Public Audience which is stands on two decorated pills and the gate will open from 3 sides. This was used for the public assembled in front of the King and the King used to listen to the needs and complaints of the people.

Sukh Niwas and Sukh Mandir: It is located just nearby the Diwan E Aam which has beautiful sandalwood doors built. It is the place where Kings spent there time with his queens as name resembles very well.

Sheesh Mahal: It is a very well attraction in Amer Fort it consist of numerous mirrors. When a single light enters the Mahal then this light spread over the whole Mahal and It will be enlightened and it also provides enchanting vistas of the Maota Lake.

Sheela Devi Temple: It is a very small and beautiful temple dedicated to Kali Mata and Durga Mata. It is carved out of a Single stone slab. There is also a Lord Ganesha at the entrance which is made up of a single piece of Coral.

Mughal garden or Kesar Kyaari:It is a very beautiful garden is also called Kesar Kyari has numerous saffron flowers and flower beds in the shape of stars.
